Widemouth Fields Holiday Park is a very quiet holiday park with lots of open space. Please note that it doesn't have any facilities, but it's just a 10 minutes drive from the pretty town of Bude, which has cafes, pubs, restaurants, laundrettes and a mix of independent retailers and high-street chains. For groceries there's a Sainsbury's, a Co-op, a Lidl and a Morrisons nearby.  Bude also offer two beaches: Crooklets and Summerleaze, which has a popular salt water sea-pool for families with children.

Widemouth Bay itself is an area famous for surfing and body-boarding. For hikers and bikers there are stunning coastal walks and cycling routes, many of which can be accessed from the nearby Weir Café & Restaurant, and for those interested in fishing or golf, that's also available within the Bude area.

Many of Cornwall's popular tourist attractions are accessible on a day out, including the land of King Arthur and the castle at Tintagel, the lovely old fishing port of Boscastle and the Doc Martin film location at Port Isaac. You could also hop over the border into Devon and visit Clovelly, Bideford, Westward Ho!, Appledore, Saunton Sands or even Dartmoor
